Who we are and how we build websites in Bangkok

Website Development Bangkok is a studio with one job: designing and building websites for businesses in Thailand. Our office is on New Phetchaburi Road in Huai Khwang, and we work with clients in English and Thai.

If you are checking who is behind this site before sending a brief, this page gives you the plain facts: who builds the sites, how we build them, what we refuse to sell, and how to reach us.

We build four kinds of project, all set out on our website services page. Business websites on WordPress with a custom theme. Online stores on Shopify or WooCommerce, set up for PromptPay, cash on delivery and Thai couriers. Bilingual English and Thai sites. And redesigns of sites that have stopped working for the business. We also set up PDPA consent as part of a PDPA-compliant website build, and look after the site after launch if you want us to.

A few principles decide most of our technical choices. They are the reason our quotes look the way they do, so it is worth knowing them before you compare us with other offers.

Custom themes, no page builders

Our Business sites run on a custom WordPress theme with no drag-and-drop builder. Your staff edit text, images and posts in the standard editor, while the layout lives in code where a stray click cannot break it. Pages carry less code, and updates are less likely to shift your design.

Speed judged the way Google judges it

We test pages against Google's Core Web Vitals, which look at how quickly the main content appears, how fast the page responds to a tap and how stable the layout is while loading. We test on mobile first, because that is how most Bangkok customers will meet your business. We do not promise a particular score; we build so the site has a fair chance of passing.

PDPA consent from day one

Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act applies to the data your forms and analytics collect. Our Starter package includes PDPA cookie consent. On larger builds, cookie consent and the rest of the setup (the privacy notice page and consent wording on forms) are set in your quote from the start, so you are not retrofitting it later.

English and Thai done properly

A second language is more than translated text. It needs its own menus, page addresses, form messages and search metadata, and Thai script needs fonts and line spacing chosen for it. Staying narrow is a deliberate choice. A studio that sells everything tends to do the build quickly and make its money on the extras. We would rather do one thing well and tell you plainly where our work stops. We do not offer:

• SEO retainers, link building or monthly ranking packages;
• digital marketing, social media management, or Google and Meta ads;
• mobile apps, web applications or custom software (booking and enquiry flows inside a website are fine);
• branding or logo design;
• LINE Official Account management (LINE and WhatsApp buttons on your site are included);
• landing-page-only projects;
• hosting sold as a standalone product.
