Website development that turns your business plan into a working site

Business websites on WordPress from THB 10,000, or Shopify and WooCommerce stores from THB 50,000, with every stage of the build explained.

What is website development?

Website development is the work of turning a plan for a site into pages that load, work and can be found: the page structure, the code or platform setup, forms and booking flows, language versions, testing and the launch itself. Our builds start from THB 10,000, and a typical project takes about 15 days.

Web design decides how the site looks and how people move through it. For a business the two are one job, because a layout that cannot be built well, or a build that ignores the design, both lose enquiries.

In practice you buy them together. We plan the pages, design them, then build them on WordPress for most business sites or on Shopify or WooCommerce for stores. The visual side is covered in depth on our page about custom website design; this page is about the build and the decisions you make along the way.

The stages of a website build

Each stage exists because skipping it causes a specific, expensive problem later. A missing sitemap means pages get added in a hurry and the menu stops making sense. Content that arrives at the end pushes the launch. Testing only on a desktop hides the form that does not submit on an iPhone. The stages below are why a typical project fits into 15 days.

The dates and handoffs for each step are on our step-by-step process page, and if you want to understand the work before hiring anyone, our guide on how to build a website walks through it from the owner's side.

  1. Step 1

    Brief

Who the site is for, what visitors should do, which languages, which pages. The brief decides everything that follows.

  2. Step 2

    Sitemap and content plan

Every page gets a purpose and a search term before design starts, so nothing is added as an afterthought.

  3. Step 3

    Design

Layouts for phone and desktop, approved by you before a line of the build is written.

  4. Step 4

    Build and content entry

Theme or store setup, forms, language versions, then your text and photos go in.

  5. Step 5

    Testing

Real phones, several browsers, every form, page speed and any consent banner in your scope.

  6. Step 6

    Launch and handover

Domain pointed, redirects in place, sitemap live, then the handover agreed in your quote.

Which platform should your website use?

For most company, clinic, hotel and service sites we build on WordPress, the open-source content management system, always with a custom design. On the Business package, from THB 30,000, that design runs on a theme written for your site, with no page builder such as Elementor.

Builders are quick to start with, but they add heavy code to every page and make small layout changes fragile. A custom theme loads less, gives your staff simple fields to edit, and does not tie the site to a builder licence. Our page on custom WordPress development goes deeper on themes, plugins and editing.

When the site is mainly a shop, the choice is between Shopify, a hosted platform with a monthly plan, and WooCommerce, which runs a store inside WordPress on your own hosting. Both can take Thai payments and connect to local couriers; the trade-offs are on our ecommerce website design page. If terms such as front end, back end or CMS are new to you, start with our introduction to web development.

What the packages include

What goes into a build depends on the package. The list below follows the packages exactly, so you can see where each item starts. Consent is not only a banner: if your forms collect names and phone numbers, Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act applies, which is why we also build PDPA-compliant websites with consented forms and a privacy notice.

  • StarterUp to 5 pages with custom design, built on WordPress mobile-first, with contact, WhatsApp and LINE buttons, on-page SEO and PDPA cookie consent.
  • BusinessUp to 15 pages in English and Thai, two revision rounds, a custom WordPress theme with no page builder, a blog, forms, booking or enquiry flows, keyword mapping and schema markup.
  • E-commerceA Shopify or WooCommerce store with PromptPay, cards, COD and Thai couriers, product import, e-Tax invoice setup, staff training and a launch checklist.
  • Two languagesEnglish and Thai versions come with Business; how we plan them is in the next section.

A site built for Thailand has a few requirements that generic templates handle badly. These are the ones we plan for from the brief.

Thai and English that stay in step

Many visitors read Thai, many read English, and some switch between the two. A proper bilingual build gives each page a twin in the other language, a switcher that lands on the same page rather than the home page, and correct language tags so Google shows the right version. Thai text also needs its own font and more line height than English. Our page on bilingual websites covers the setup in detail.

Enquiry and booking flows

For clinics and medical practices, the main task of the site is an appointment request: the treatment, a preferred date, a phone number and a consent tick box, sent to the front desk. For real estate agencies, it is a listing enquiry that carries the property reference with it, so the agent knows which condo the caller means. Both are forms inside the website, not separate software.

LINE and WhatsApp buttons

Thai customers often prefer to message rather than fill in a form, and foreign customers often reach for WhatsApp. Buttons for both sit on every page and are thumb-sized on a phone, next to a normal contact form for people who want a written record.

Before you start: domain, content and scope

Three things decide whether a build runs to schedule, and all three are yours to prepare.

  • The domain. If you do not own one yet, choose it before the design starts; .com and .co.th have different registration rules. Our guide to choosing a domain name explains the options. If you already own one, we need access to its DNS settings at launch.
  • The content. Page text, photos, prices, team details and any legal text. We can shape and edit what you send, but the facts about your business have to come from you. Late content is the most common reason a 15-day project becomes a longer one.
  • The scope. Decide whether you need a full site or a single campaign page. We build full websites only, because a site with several pages gives search engines and visitors more to work with. Our comparison of a website vs landing page explains when each makes sense.

How much does website development cost?

A five-page site for a new business sits in Starter, from THB 10,000, the package behind our small business website design. A company that needs up to 15 pages, two languages and booking or enquiry flows sits in Business, from THB 30,000. A store sits in E-commerce, from THB 50,000. These are indicative, one-time starting points; the written quote fixes the price for your project once the pages and features are agreed. For what drives the number up or down, see website prices in Thailand.

After launch

What the handover includes is written into your quote. On the E-commerce package, staff training and a launch checklist are part of the package. For other builds the quote lists the items, such as editor access for your staff and a walk-through of updating a page.

A website then needs regular care: WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, backups, uptime checks and the occasional fix. We offer website maintenance services after launch, priced per site on request, so the site you paid for keeps working.

Common questions

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Design decides what the site looks like and how visitors move through it: layouts, type, colour, buttons, the order of information. Development makes it work: the theme or store setup, forms, language versions, speed, security and the launch. On a business project you need both, so we do both, and you approve the design before the build starts, so the build does not wait on layout changes.

Which platform do you build business websites on?

WordPress with a custom theme for most company, clinic, hotel and service sites, because it is open source, widely supported and easy for staff to edit. For online stores we use Shopify or WooCommerce, depending on whether you prefer a hosted platform with a monthly plan or a store on your own WordPress hosting. We do not use page builders.

How long does website development take?

A typical project takes about 15 days from the agreed brief to launch. The biggest factor is content: if text and photos are ready when design starts, 15 days is realistic. Stores with large product catalogues take longer because of the import and checking, and the quote gives a realistic date for those rather than a hopeful one.

What do I need to prepare before development starts?

A domain name, or a decision on which one to register, and access to it. Your page text or at least clear notes, photos you have the rights to use, your logo, contact details and opening hours. For stores, a product list in a spreadsheet with prices, variants and stock. Anything unclear goes into the brief so we can plan around it.

Will my website be ready for search engines at launch?

Yes, in the on-page sense. The Starter package includes on-page SEO: clean titles and descriptions, one clear heading per page, readable URLs and fast, mobile-first pages. The Business package adds keyword mapping and schema markup. At launch the site has an XML sitemap search engines can read. Rankings then depend on competition and ongoing work, and we do not sell monthly SEO retainers.

Do you build web applications or custom software?

No. We build websites and online stores. Features that live inside a website are fine: enquiry forms, booking requests, bilingual pages, a blog, a store checkout. Customer portals, internal systems, mobile apps and other custom software are outside what we offer, and we would rather say so now than stretch a website project into something it is not.
