Privacy policy: what we collect through this site, and your rights
What this site collects when you send an enquiry, why we keep it, who else sees it, and how to use your PDPA rights.
Who we are
This notice explains how Website Development Bangkok handles personal data collected through websitedevelopmentbangkok.com and through the WhatsApp, phone and email contacts it lists. For this data we act as the data controller under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), the PDPA.
You can reach us about anything in this notice at:
- Post: Website Development Bangkok, 2056 New Phetchaburi Road, Bang Kapi, Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand
- Email: service@websitedevelopmentbangkok.com
- WhatsApp or call: +66 93 004 4098, every day from 10:00 to 19:00 Bangkok time
If you would rather talk it through, the contact page lists the same details. We try to keep this notice short and specific to what this site actually does. It is not a template copied from another company.
What we collect and why
We collect only what you choose to send us, plus a small amount of technical data that keeps the enquiry forms free of spam.
| Data | Where it comes from | Why we use it | Lawful basis under the PDPA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name, phone number, email address, the service you need and your message (required); company and package (optional) | The quote form | To reply to you and prepare a written quote, which we send by email | Your consent, given with the tick box on the form, and steps you ask us to take before a possible contract |
| Name, phone number and your message (required); email address and the service you are interested in (optional) | The contact form | To reply to you and prepare a quote | Your consent, given with the tick box on the form, and steps you ask us to take before a possible contract |
| The page you sent the form from and the language of that page | Recorded automatically with the form | To understand what you were reading and reply in the right language | Our legitimate interest in answering enquiries properly |
| A one-way hash of your IP address and the first part of your browser's user agent string | Recorded automatically with the form | To limit repeated submissions and spot spam; the hash cannot be turned back into your IP address | Our legitimate interest in keeping the forms secure |
| Messages, files and contact details you send us directly | WhatsApp, phone calls and email | To answer you and, if you go ahead, to run your project | Steps before a contract, then the contract itself |
We do not ask for ID card numbers, bank details or health information through this website, and we ask you not to send them in a message. We do not use your details for newsletters or advertising.
The WhatsApp handoff
After you send a form, the confirmation screen offers a WhatsApp button with your enquiry already written out. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp unless you tap it and send the message yourself. Once you do, that conversation is also handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies or use tracking scripts for ordinary visitors at the time of writing. If that changes, for example if we add analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update our cookie policy with the name, purpose and lifetime of each cookie.
Sharing and storage
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. A few service providers handle it on our behalf, because the site could not work without them:
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its database, including the enquiries table.
- Our email provider delivers each enquiry to our inbox and stores that email.
- WhatsApp carries any conversation you choose to start or continue there.
Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Thailand. We disclose data to authorities only when Thai law requires it.
How long we keep it
Form enquiries that do not become a project (ones we have not followed up, ones marked as spam and ones closed without going ahead) are deleted automatically 365 days after they arrive, whenever the conversation itself ended. When an enquiry turns into a project, we keep what we need for that project and for our accounting and legal duties, and no longer. Copies in our email inbox and WhatsApp chats follow the same rule.
How we protect it
The site runs on HTTPS, the forms check for automated abuse, and only administrators can open the list of enquiries.
Your rights under the PDPA
The PDPA gives you rights over the personal data we hold about you. You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, or make it anonymous, where there is no reason left to keep it;
- stop or limit how we use it while a question is resolved;
- object to our use of your data where we rely on our legitimate interest, such as the page and spam-check data recorded with a form; we will then stop, unless we have a compelling legitimate reason or need the data for a legal claim;
- send your data to you or to another organisation in a common format, where that applies;
- withdraw the consent you gave on the form, at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, email us or message us on WhatsApp and say which right you are using. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we never hand your data to someone else. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC), the regulator that has enforced the law in full since 1 June 2022.
If you run a business website yourself and want to know what the PDPA law asks of websites, we have written a separate plain guide. Building sites with PDPA compliance in place from day one, with consent tools, notices and forms like the ones on this site, is also one of the services we offer.
Changes and related policies
We will update this notice when the site starts collecting something new or uses data in a new way, and the date at the top of the page will change with it. This version is dated 27 September 2026.
Two other pages complete the picture: the terms that apply to our work and to your use of this website, and our accessibility statement, which explains how to report a barrier on the site.

Common questions
What happens to the details I send through the quote form?
They are saved in the website's enquiries table and emailed to our inbox so we can reply and prepare a quote. Only administrators can open that table. If it does not become a project (not followed up, spam, or closed without going ahead), it is deleted automatically 365 days after it arrives. We never add you to a mailing list or pass your details to other companies for marketing.
How do I ask you to delete my data?
Send an email to service@websitedevelopmentbangkok.com or a WhatsApp message to +66 93 004 4098 saying you want your data deleted, and include the name and phone number you used. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We then remove the enquiry from the website and delete our email and chat copies, unless a legal duty requires us to keep a record.
Do you sell or share my data?
No, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with other businesses for their own use. The only parties that handle it are the providers that make the site work: our hosting provider, our email provider and, if you choose to message us there, WhatsApp. Authorities receive data only when Thai law requires us to hand it over.
Where can I complain about how my data is handled?
Please tell us first, by email or WhatsApp, so we can put it right quickly. If you are not satisfied, or would rather go straight to the regulator, you can file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC), Thailand's data protection authority. Its website at pdpc.or.th explains the complaint process and the forms it accepts.
