Our website design process, from brief to launch
Six steps, clear approvals at each one, and a typical build of about 15 days: here is how a project with us actually runs.
The steps at a glance
A website project with us runs in six steps, and each one ends with something you approve before the next begins. That rule is what keeps a typical build to about 15 days: nobody designs pages that have not been agreed, and nothing is coded from a design you have not seen.
The steps below are the order we work in. Your part in each one is small but it is real, and most delays come from a step waiting on a decision rather than on us. If you want the reasoning behind each stage of website development, the service page covers it; this page is about the schedule and who does what.
Where you approve
- After step 1: the written quote, which fixes scope, timeline, price and payment terms.
- After step 2: the page list and the page layouts.
- After step 3: the visual design. On the Business package this includes two revision rounds, each one consolidated set of your comments revised in one pass.
- After step 5: the finished site on a private staging address, before it goes live.
Brief and written quote
You tell us about the business, the pages, the languages and any forms. We reply with a written quote listing the scope, timeline, price and payment terms, and work starts when you approve it.
Plan and layouts
We map the pages, the menu and where each form and chat button goes, and sketch each layout, including where the Thai and English versions sit.
Design
A custom design for phone and desktop, shared as a link so you can review it on your own phone. The Business package includes two revision rounds here.
Build
We build on WordPress, Shopify or WooCommerce, with forms, booking or enquiry flows, payments and shipping where the scope includes them.
Test
We check every page on phones and desktops in each language, test forms and any checkout, and review speed and any PDPA cookie consent in your scope.
Launch and handover
We connect the domain, move the site live and show you how to edit it. Maintenance is available afterwards, priced on request.
What do you need to prepare?
You do not need a finished plan to start, but the build moves faster when a few things are ready on your side. The checklist below is what we ask for over the course of the project, not all on day one.
The brief comes first. If you are unsure what to include, our website project questionnaire lists the questions we ask at the start of every project, from target customers to the one action each page should drive. Once the page list is agreed, we sketch each page as a simple layout before any colours or photos go in. Reading a short guide on what a website wireframe is and how to comment on one makes that approval quicker, because you judge structure and priority rather than decoration.
Content is where most schedules slip. A hotel needs room descriptions and rates, a clinic needs doctor profiles and treatment pages, a shop needs product names, prices, weights for courier rates and photos. If the site is bilingual, both the Thai and English texts need an owner, and our website copywriting tips help whoever writes them. Tell us early if copy is not ready, so the quote and the timeline reflect it.
- Your goal for the site and who it is for
- A rough page list, or the questions visitors ask you most
- Logo files, brand colours and any fonts you already use
- Two or three websites you like, with a note on why
- Page texts in Thai, English or both, or a plan for who writes them
- Photos you own or have rights to use
- For stores: product names, prices, variants, weights and stock
- Access to your domain and hosting, or a decision on where to host
- One person on your side who can approve each step
How long does a website project take?
A typical project takes about 15 days from an agreed brief to launch. That figure assumes the scope in the quote, content that arrives when the build needs it and approvals that come back within a day or two. We do not split the 15 days into a fixed number per step, because the balance shifts from project to project: a five-page Starter site spends little time in planning, while a bilingual Business site spends more time on planning the page structure.
What stretches the schedule
- Late content. Pages can be designed with placeholder text, but they cannot be finished or tested without the real words and photos.
- Large catalogues. An online store with hundreds of products, variants and courier weights takes longer to import and check. We say so in the quote rather than pretend otherwise.
- Slow approvals. When several partners or a head office must sign off, allow for it. Naming one decision maker helps more than anything else.
- Scope added mid-build. A new section or feature is quoted and scheduled before we start it.
Revisions
The Business package includes two revision rounds on the design. The web design stage is the right place for changes of layout, colour or emphasis, because at that point they cost little. The same change after the build usually means rework. For a broader view of how long a website takes across different kinds of project in Thailand, see our guide.
Testing and launch
Before launch the site lives on a private staging address that only you and we can see. We test it the way your customers will use it: mostly on phones, often on a slow mobile connection, in Thai and in English.
What we check
- Every page and menu link, in each language, including the language switcher.
- Forms, booking or enquiry flows, and that each message actually arrives where it should.
- WhatsApp and LINE buttons open the right chat on a phone.
- For stores: a test order through PromptPay, card and cash on delivery where they are enabled, shipping rates for the couriers you use, and the e-Tax invoice setup.
- The cookie consent banner, the privacy notice and consent on forms, where your package or quote includes them, so the site is ready for PDPA from day one.
- Page titles, descriptions and schema markup where the package includes them.
You then review the staging site and give the final approval. Launch day itself is short: we connect the domain, switch the site live, check it again on the live address and confirm the forms still deliver. Our website launch checklist sets out the full list if you want to follow along.
Handover
On the E-commerce package, staff training is part of the work, so your team can add products and process orders. For Starter and Business, the quote sets out what the handover covers. Maintenance after launch is available and priced per site on request.
Packages
The same six steps apply to every package; what changes is the size of each step. Starter, from THB 10,000, is up to five pages and moves quickly through planning. Business, from THB 30,000, adds a second language, more pages and the two design revision rounds. E-commerce, from THB 50,000, adds product import, payments, courier setup and staff training, which is why large catalogues can run past the typical 15 days.
All three are indicative one-time prices, and the full feature lists sit on our page of package prices. When you are ready, send a short brief to get a written quote with the scope, timeline, price and payment terms for your project.

Common questions
How long does the whole project take?
A typical project takes about 15 days from the agreed brief to launch. That assumes content and approvals arrive when each step needs them. Online stores with large product catalogues can take longer, because importing and checking products, variants and shipping weights is slow, careful work. Your written quote gives the timeline for your specific scope, so you can plan an opening or a campaign around it.
What slows a website project down?
Three things, most of the time: page texts and photos that are not ready, approvals that wait on several people, and new features added after the build has started. None of these are unusual. Naming one person to approve each step and telling us early if the copy is behind lets us adjust the plan instead of discovering the gap in the last week.
When do I see the design?
After the page list and layouts are approved, we design the key pages and share them with you before any building starts. You comment on the design and we revise it; the Business package includes two revision rounds at this stage. Only once you approve the design do we build it, which is why layout and colour changes are cheapest to make here rather than later.
What happens on launch day?
By launch day you have already approved the finished site on staging. We point your domain to the live site, switch it on and test it again on the real address: pages, language versions, forms, WhatsApp and LINE buttons and, for stores, a checkout. If anything behaves differently on the live server, we fix it before we call the launch done and tell you the site is live.
Do you train us to update the site?
Staff training is included in the E-commerce package, so the people who add products and handle orders know how to do it. For Starter and Business sites, the written quote states what the handover covers, so you know before you sign what you will be shown. If you would rather not touch the site at all after launch, ask about maintenance, which we price per site on request.
