Pricing

How a website maintenance plan is priced, site by site

We price website maintenance per site, after looking at what your site runs on and how often it changes. No fixed monthly tiers.

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

Website maintenance with us has no fixed monthly tiers: each site is priced on its own after we review it, and the price goes into a written quote. What sets it is the platform, the number of plugins, any store or booking functions, how often content changes, and the site's security history.

We think that is the honest answer. A five-page company site on a lean WordPress theme might need little more than updates, backups and a monthly check. A WooCommerce shop with forty plugins, daily orders and weekly promotions needs far more attention, and a flat plan would either overcharge the first or underserve the second.

So we look at the site, agree a scope with you, and put the price in a written quote. The work itself, from updates to small content edits, is described on our page about care after launch. This page explains what moves the price, so you can predict roughly where your site sits before you ask.

What sets the price of maintenance?

When we price maintenance, these are the things we look at first. Most of them you can check yourself in the WordPress dashboard in a few minutes. If security has been a problem before, run through a WordPress security checklist first; it shows how much clean-up sits ahead of routine care.

  • PlatformA Shopify store has hosting and core updates handled by Shopify, so care focuses on apps, content and checkout. A self-hosted WordPress site needs the full routine.
  • Number of pluginsEach plugin is another thing to update, test and keep compatible. Twelve well-chosen plugins are cheaper to look after than forty accumulated over the years.
  • Store or booking functionsAnything that takes orders, payments or bookings must be tested after every update, not just glanced at.
  • How often things changeA site whose prices, menus or promotions change every week needs more hours than one updated twice a year.
  • Content editsSmall text and photo swaps can sit inside a maintenance scope; new pages or new sections are quoted as their own work.
  • Security historyA site that has been hacked, or runs themes and plugins no longer supported, needs a clean-up before routine maintenance makes sense.

What a maintenance scope can include

If you are new to the subject, our short guide on what website maintenance is covers the basics. The table below lists the tasks a scope is usually built from, why each matters, and how often it is commonly done. Your quote picks the ones your site needs.

Maintenance tasks, purpose and common frequency (no prices: each site is quoted)
TaskWhy it mattersCommon frequency
Core, theme and plugin updatesCloses security holes and keeps features workingMonthly or when a security release appears
Backups with a restore testA backup you have never restored is a guessDaily for stores, weekly for most other sites
Uptime and form checksA broken enquiry form loses leads quietlyAfter every update, and on a schedule
Checkout and payment testPromptPay, card and COD flows can break after an updateAfter every update on a store
Speed reviewPages slow down as images and plugins pile upQuarterly, or after big content changes
PDPA consent checkThe cookie banner and consent records must keep workingAfter updates that touch forms or tracking
Small content editsPrices, opening hours, menu items and staff changesAs needed, within an agreed amount

Costs paid to other providers

A maintenance quote covers our time. Several running costs sit outside it, because you pay them directly to the companies that provide them, usually in your own name so you keep control of the accounts:

  • Hosting for a WordPress or WooCommerce site, billed monthly or yearly by your host. We do not sell hosting.
  • Domain renewal, paid yearly to your registrar. A lapsed .com or .co.th can take email down with it.
  • Email, if your company mail runs on a paid workspace service.
  • Premium licences for paid plugins, themes or Shopify apps, which usually renew every year or every month.

WordPress itself is free, open-source software, so there is no licence fee for the core. It is the add-ons that carry renewals, and a yearly list of them is worth keeping next to your accounts.

Doing it yourself

Plenty of owners look after their own site, and on a small WordPress site with few plugins that is reasonable. The risk is not the work itself but the habit: updates get skipped during a busy month, backups stop without anyone noticing, and a form breaks in the week you run a promotion. If you want to try, follow a written website maintenance checklist and put the tasks in your calendar.

Speed is the task most owners find hardest to do alone. Heavy images, too many plugins and slow hosting all show up on Thai mobile connections first. Our page on making a slow site fast explains what a speed fix involves if the site has already slowed down.

Budgeting a new build as well

Maintenance is separate from our one-time build packages. If you are budgeting a new site and its upkeep together, our pricing page has the full package comparison, and the breakdown of WordPress website cost covers the build side of a WordPress site in detail. A site we built is usually quicker to look after, because we know the code and chose every plugin on it.

Ask for a maintenance quote

Send us the site address, the platform, a rough idea of how often content changes, and anything that has gone wrong recently. We review the site and reply with a written scope and price. If you would rather talk it through first, get in touch with the team on WhatsApp or by email, every day between 10:00 and 19:00 Bangkok time.

Include the country code, for example +66.

Common questions

How much does website maintenance cost per month?

It depends on the site, which is why we quote each one after a review rather than publish a monthly figure. A small WordPress site with few plugins sits at the low end; a store with frequent updates, payment testing and weekly edits needs far more time. Tell us the platform, plugin count and how often content changes, and we will put a price in writing.

Why don't you publish monthly plan prices?

Because fixed tiers force every site into a box. Owners of simple sites end up paying for work they do not need, and busy stores get less attention than they require. Quoting per site lets the scope match what your site actually runs on. The quote lists each task and its frequency, so you can see what you are paying for.

What affects the cost of maintaining a WordPress website?

The main factors are the number and quality of plugins, whether the site takes orders or bookings, how often content changes, the state of the hosting, and whether the site has had security problems. An outdated theme or abandoned plugins can mean a clean-up job before routine care starts. We look at all of these before quoting.

Are hosting and domain renewals included?

No. Hosting and domain renewals are paid directly to your host and registrar, ideally on accounts in your name. We do not sell hosting as a product. What we can do is keep an eye on renewal dates and hosting health as part of a maintenance scope, so that a lapsed domain or a full server does not take the site offline.

Can I maintain my website myself?

Yes, especially if the site is small and runs few plugins. You need a routine: updates, backups you have tested, form checks and a look at speed now and then. The hard part is consistency during busy months. Many owners do the content edits themselves and hand the technical updates and testing to someone else.
