A restaurant website with a readable menu, table bookings and online orders
Restaurant websites: a phone-friendly menu site from THB 10,000, table bookings on Business, and PromptPay pickup orders on E-commerce.
What do diners check before they visit?
A restaurant website shows diners, on a phone, what you serve and what it costs, whether you are open, how to get there and how to book or order. A menu site starts on Starter from THB 10,000, table bookings come with Business from THB 30,000, and PromptPay pickup orders with E-commerce from THB 50,000.
Diners check the four things above (menu and prices, opening hours, location, booking) in that order. If your site answers them in the first screen on a phone, it is already doing better than most restaurant sites in Bangkok. Everything else, the story of the chef, the interior shots, the wine list, comes second.
Most restaurant owners in Bangkok already live on Grab, LINE MAN and Instagram. Those channels bring orders, but they own the customer, take a commission and decide how your food is shown. Your own site is the one place where the menu, the prices, the booking and the ordering are yours. It is also what Google shows when someone searches your name, so it should match your Google Business Profile exactly: same name, same address, same opening hours.
The first screen, on a phone
- Today's opening hours, with holiday closures marked.
- A button to view the menu, one to book a table, one to order.
- A map link and the nearest BTS or MRT station if you have one.
- LINE and WhatsApp buttons for people who would rather message than fill in a form.
We design every page around that first screen. If you want the wider picture of how we plan layouts for any business, our custom website design service explains the process. This page covers what changes when the business is a restaurant, cafe or bar.
Table bookings and online orders
Reservations
For most restaurants a simple booking request is enough: date, time, number of guests, a name and a phone or LINE contact. The request arrives by email and you confirm it, which keeps you in control on busy nights. A booking or enquiry flow like this sits inside the site and is part of the Business package. A small cafe that only needs a menu, hours and a map is usually fine with the lighter setup we describe under websites for small businesses.
Ordering for pickup or delivery
If you want guests to order and pay on your own site, we build the shop on WooCommerce. Dishes become products with options (spice level, extra rice, size), orders arrive with a pickup time or delivery address, and customers pay by PromptPay QR, card or cash on delivery. Our article on setting up PromptPay payments in a WooCommerce shop explains how the QR payment and order confirmation work in practice.
WooCommerce suits restaurants better than a hosted shop in most cases, because the menu, bookings and orders all live in one WordPress site you already edit. If you run a Shopify store today and want everything in one place, we can also handle a move from Shopify to WooCommerce.
Keep the delivery apps
Your own ordering does not replace Grab or LINE MAN. Those apps reach people who have never heard of you. Your site serves the regulars, the office down the street and the guests who found you on Google, and on those orders you pay no delivery-app commission. Many owners print a QR code on bags and receipts that leads straight to the site's order page.
Food photos that load quickly
People eat with their eyes first, and a restaurant site with poor photos loses to the delivery app listing next to it. The opposite mistake is just as common: twenty full-size camera files on the home page that take ten seconds to appear on a phone in a BTS carriage.
We resize and compress every image to the size it is actually shown at, serve modern formats, and load the photos lower on the page only when the diner scrolls to them. The first screen stays light so the hours and buttons appear at once.
The photos themselves matter more than any technical trick. Natural light from a window, a clean table, the dish shot from slightly above, and the same angle and background across the menu make a set look professional even on a good phone camera. Our guide to photographing your business for the website has a short shot list you can follow before the build starts. Real photos of your room, your staff and your dishes also build more trust than stock images, which diners spot immediately.
Match your Google listing
Google often shows your Business Profile before your site. Use the same photos, name, address and hours on both, and link the profile to the site's menu page, so the details a diner sees in Maps and on your pages never disagree.
What does a restaurant website cost?
The right package depends on what the site has to do. A menu site with hours, a map, photos and LINE and WhatsApp buttons fits the Starter package, from THB 10,000. A restaurant group with several branches, a bilingual menu, a blog for events and a booking flow needs Business, from THB 30,000.
If guests should order and pay online, the E-commerce package, from THB 50,000, covers the WooCommerce shop with PromptPay, cards, COD and staff training. These are indicative starting points; you can compare what each includes on our website design prices page, and your written quote sets the final figure.
A typical project takes about 15 days. Food and hospitality often overlap, so if your restaurant sits inside a hotel, read our notes on websites for hotels and resorts too. Owners with a property side business may find our page on real estate website development useful.

Common questions
Should our menu be a PDF or a web page?
A web page. A PDF is slow on mobile data, needs zooming, cannot be translated by the browser and is hard for Google to read. A text menu loads quickly, works in Thai and English, and lets you change a price or mark a dish sold out yourself. If you also want a printable version for events, we can add a PDF download alongside the real menu.
Can customers order food and pay with PromptPay on our site?
Yes, with the E-commerce package. We build ordering on WooCommerce, where customers pick dishes and options, choose pickup or delivery, and pay by PromptPay QR, card or cash on delivery through a payment provider you sign up with. You receive each order by email and in the dashboard, and your staff learn to manage orders during the training we include.
Do we still need Grab or LINE MAN if we have our own ordering?
For most restaurants, yes. Delivery apps bring in new customers who are browsing for something to eat, and they handle riders. Your own ordering works best for repeat guests, nearby offices and people who find you on Google or through a QR code in the bag. Running both lets you keep the reach of the apps while moving loyal customers to orders where you keep more of the margin.
Can guests reserve a table online?
Yes. We add a booking request form with date, time, party size and contact details, including a LINE or WhatsApp option. Requests arrive by email and you confirm them, which suits restaurants that juggle walk-ins. Booking and enquiry flows are part of the Business package. If you already use a reservation service, we can link to it or place its booking button on the site instead.
How often can we change the menu ourselves?
As often as you like. The menu lives in WordPress as editable text, so changing a price, adding a seasonal dish or hiding something that sold out takes a minute and needs no designer. We show you how during handover. Bigger changes, such as a new menu section layout or a second branch, can be handled through maintenance, which we price per site on request.
